Air Canada UpdatesStandardizing check-in time A reminder that effective September 4th, Air Canada updated their check-in policy to streamline the customer’s travel experience. The check-in cutoff time is now 60 minutes across all sectors. This change ensures a smoother, more efficient boarding process, giving customers peace of mind as they prepare for takeoff. Frequent fliers will be pleased, because it means upgrades will be processed 15 minutes earlier. Complimentary 2nd bag to Nigeria and Kenya Travellers to Nigeria and Kenya can now bring a 2nd complimentary bag on Standard, Flex and Comfort fares (no change to Basic and Latitude fares). Applies to travel between Canada and U.S., and Nigeria and Kenya. Tickets must be issued on/after September 4. Aeroplan and Free Texting Make sure your Uniglobe Travel Advisor has your Aeroplan number on file to add to your Air Canada reservations. Having your Aeroplan number on your booking will ensure you have access to and can enjoy free text messaging on board all Air Canada Wi-Fi enabled aircraft. You can use Apple’s iMessage, Meta’s Messenger and WhatsApp, Messages by Google, WeChat, LINE, KakaoTalk, Telegram, Tencent QQ and Rakuten’s Viber.
